- Assess the damage: Maverick Roofing offers a FREE inspection and will provide you with a detailed Property Damage Assessment report you can share with your insurance provider and/or keep for your records.
- Contact your insurance provider: Either call your insurance agent directly, call insurance provider hotline, or online portal to file hail claim for your property. Your insurance provider will assign you a claim # and an adjuster. Make a note of the claim # as it will be very important throughout the entire process. The field adjuster will reach out to you usually within 24-48 hours to set an appointment with you to assess your roof’s damage.
- Schedule an Inspection: The insurance company will send a field adjuster to inspect the roof and assess the damage. Be sure to schedule this inspection at a convenient time. We highly recommend a roofer meet with the field adjuster on site for the following reasons:Accurate Assessment: We can point out specific areas of damage and provide expert insight into the extent of repairs needed. This helps ensure that the adjuster accurately assesses the damage, which can impact the amount of coverage provided by the insurance company.Clarification of Scope: By being present during the inspection, we can clarify the scope of work required for replacement. This reduces the likelihood of misunderstandings or discrepancies between the insurance company’s assessment and the actual repairs needed.Efficiency: Meeting on-site allows for a more efficient claims process. The adjuster can ask questions and address any concerns directly with us, streamlining communication and decision-making.Conflict Resolution: If there are any disagreements between us and the adjuster regarding the extent of damage, meeting in person provides an opportunity to resolve conflicts and reach a mutual understanding.Documentation: Having us present ensures that all relevant information and observations are documented accurately during the inspection. This documentation can be crucial for supporting the insurance claim and ensuring that you, the homeowner, receives fair coverage for the damage.
- Review the Claim Settlement Offer: Once the inspection is complete, your insurance company will provide you with a claim settlement offer along with an initial check. The initial check may seem small compared to the full amount of the roof. There are two reasons for this: your deductible and the depreciation. If you have a Replacement Cost Value (RCV) policy, we will help to recover the depreciation withheld by the insurance company after we complete the roofing project. Once you receive this settlement offer, we recommend you call us to sit down with you to go over the settlement offer with you, for the following reasons:Expertise: We have specialized knowledge and expertise regarding roof damage. We can assess the settlement offer to ensure that it accurately reflects the scope of work needed to restore your roof to its pre-damage condition.Accuracy: We can verify the accuracy of the settlement offer by comparing it with our Property Damage Assessment report. We can identify any discrepancies in the offer and provide input on additional repairs or materials that may be necessary.Negotiation: If the settlement offer does not adequately cover the cost of repairs or replacement, we can be your advocate and help negotiate with the insurance company to seek a fair resolution. We can provide evidence and documentation to support our assessment of the damage. We utilize the same software your insurance carrier uses to create the settlement offer (Xactimate). If we disagree with the scope of work, we can re-write the scope of work and send it to your insurance adjuster for review and approval.
- Sign Contract with Roofer: After both parties agree with the claims settlement offer, the next steps involve:Draft a Contract: We will draft a contract outlining the scope of work, materials to be used, project timeline, payment schedule, warranties, and any other relevant terms and conditions. We will discuss the project in more detail, allow you to choose color of shingle, and any specific preferences or concerns you may have.Clarify any Questions: We will make sure we answer any questions you may have regarding the process.Sign Contract: Once we have answered any questions and built your trust, we will ask for your business and ask that you sign a contract so we can move forward.Production: Once a contract is signed, our production team will reach out to you to schedule the installation. The materials will usually be delivered the day before the roof is installed.Day of Installation: Our project manager will keep you informed about the status of the project and reassure you of our commitment to delivering a high-quality result. We will address any concerns or questions raised by you promptly and professionally.Final Walkthrough: Once the roof installation is complete, we will schedule a final walkthrough with you to review the finished work, address any remaining concerns, and ensure your satisfaction with the project outcome.Claims Support: After the roof is complete, our claims department will send the proper documents to your insurance adjuster so they will release the remaining depreciation for the roof.Payment: Once you receive your final payment from insurance, we will collect the remaining funds and release a “paid in full” invoice along with the warranty certificate.

COMMERCIAL ROOFING
There are three types of commercial roofing systems Maverick Roofing offers including Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO), Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF), and Standing Seam.
To properly assess and estimate the cost of your commercial roofing project, first we must send the project manager, production team, and installer to meet you onsite and see the scope of the project. Once completed, the production team will get material quotes from suppliers and then send an estimate to the project manager to submit to the client.
The timeline for a commercial roofing project depends on size, complexity of project, weather, and materials used. Overall, a typical commercial roofing project can take anywhere from a week to a couple of months to complete.
